A follow-up on my Countrywide post from a while back describing its efforts to address the fallout from the sub-prime lending crisis.
After launching an aggressive internal campaign under the rallying cry of "Protect our House", Countrywide is now starting to win over external critics by providing foreclosure-preventive help for many of its borrowers. Not everyone is convinced but the rescue programs have already helped Countrywide start to rebuild its reputation (and the borrowers and, probably, the economy as well).
