I don't know exactly what it is about this ad--but it seems a little desperate. Not content with a Berkshire Hathaway endorsement under the Cort logo (top right), there's also another reference to the legendary investor top left. Sort of like a book endorsement or a two-thumbs up reference on a movie poster.
There shouldn't be anything wrong with Cort riding on the coattails of Mr. Buffett's reputation yet, at least in this execution, there is. As a proof point, one of my colleagues commented: "Unfortunately, the tagline If he invested in us, we can't be crap. must have had trademark issues."
